Hi, I'm Josh! I graduated from the University of Maryland summa cum laude with a degree in cell biology and genetics. I then spent two years performing cancer proteomics research at the National Cancer Institute and working as an EMT in the Washington, D.C. area before matriculating at the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine. I'm currently in my second year of medical school, and I'm eager to help other students interested in the medical profession. I scored in the 100th percentile on the MCAT.
I am passionate about teaching and mentorship and have worked as a 1-on-1 volunteer tutor, paid tutor, and peer mentor through various programs since I was in high school. These includes everything from high school math, English, and SAT/ACT prep through Bethesda Scholars to adult ESOL through the Greenbelt CARES program. My favorite part of teaching is seeing my students succeed, and I hope to help you reach your full potential in your medical school applications.
My philosophy, especially when it comes to the MCAT, is that there is no one size fits all approach to studying for this demanding test. This is why I use our first session to make a detailed roadmap, personalized to your own specific needs, to maximize your ability to succeed. Thereafter, we will focus on those topic areas that need the most attention so that by the time your test date arrives, you are prepared to perform at the highest level. I look forward to working with you!
