Hello!

I am excited to apply for the online tutoring position with Wyzant. As a self-taught IT professional with four years of professional experience, I am passionate about helping others choose and pass industry certifications. With my experience as an Infrastructure Administrator at a hybrid cloud company and currently as a DataCenter Specialist supporting a government contract, I have gained expertise in bare-metal virtualized data centers, including VMWare vSphere, Microsoft Hypervisor and Proxmox as well as public cloud platforms like Microsoft Azure and Amazon Web Services.

I hold several industry certifications, including VMWare Certified Professional, CompTIA A+, and Security+, which I studied for independently using a variety of online and virtualized home-lab resources. As someone who has learned through self-teaching, I know how valuable it can be to have someone provide insights, bridge gaps in knowledge, and introduce new tools to enhance one's skill set. I am eager to use my knowledge and experience to help students choose the right certification pathway and achieve their goals.

Growing up as the oldest of five siblings, I had limited opportunities for higher education. However, I pursued my passion for computing through a high school course on IT fundamentals and the Cisco CCENT, and I have been working in the industry ever since. My experience in a variety of disciplines, including Networking, CyberSecurity, Data Protection, and Automation, has allowed me to gain more responsibility and involvement in creating and maintaining data centers that support multiple teams of professionals.
