Hi! I'm Joel. I'm a licensed master social worker and certified dementia practitioner. I graduated with my masters degree in social work in 2022 with a 4.0 GPA, and my bachelors in social work in 2020, also with a 4.0 GPA. Over my entire time in higher education, I've written close to 100 papers, which included reviewing, editing, proofreading, and then doing it all again before submitting them. Hi! I received almost all A's, and in my 2 social work degrees, they were all A's.
During that time, I worked with college students with their assignments as part of a group setting. I have been a part of several group projects, during which part of my job was to review and edit the different sections as they were created, as well as the final project, prior to submission, ensuring that the project adhered to the rules of that particular publication style, as well as having a neat, simple format and style that make the projects the best they can be. I also have experience working with elementary school children, helping with homework of varying subjects.
In addition to my experience in college writing papers, I have substantial writing experience in other facets. I have written 3 novels, with my current draft being strongly considered for publication. I'm currently in the research phase of writing a book about vascular dementia, which is expected to be the first of a three-book series about different types of dementia outside of Alzheimer's. I also maintain a blog providing information about issues older adults and their loved ones commonly experience.
I have a simple style. I'll review the paper, making marks and comments as I do so. I'll then explain all of those marks and comments and answer questions about them or other questions related to the paper. My primary experience with publication styles is APA, particularly APA-7.
