I am a certified math teacher with over 20 years of experience teaching middle and high school students in both traditional and co-taught classroom settings. I hold a Master’s degree in education along with 60 additional graduate credits in mathematics and instructional strategies. Over the years, I have taught a wide range of courses, including AP Statistics, Statistics, Precalculus, Algebra II, Geometry, Algebra I, and Pre-Algebra. My extensive background has given me a deep understanding of mathematical content as well as how to tailor instruction to meet students’ individual needs.

My teaching experience includes working with students from diverse academic backgrounds and grade levels, typically ranging from grades 8 through 12. I am passionate about helping students build confidence in math by creating a supportive environment where they feel safe asking questions and making mistakes. I believe that a strong student-teacher connection and clear, structured explanations are key to academic success. Whether I am working one-on-one or with small groups, I focus on identifying gaps in understanding and using targeted strategies to build a solid foundation.

My approach is patient, encouraging, and rooted in real classroom experience. I use questioning techniques to guide students to deeper understanding, and I always adapt my methods based on how each student learns best. Whether a student is struggling with the basics or aiming to master advanced topics like AP Statistics, I’m committed to helping them grow, succeed, and even enjoy math.
