Hey everyone!
My name is Josh W and I am a Biology and Biomedical Science Teacher at a high school and Harford Community College. I have over 15 years experience teaching at the high school and college level, teaching all levels of students at each. I received my Bachelors Degree in Organismal Biology and Ecology from Towson University, my Masters of Arts in Teaching from Towson, and Masters in Biological Science from Clemson University. I am certified in Biology for grades 6-12 in the State of Maryland, and certified in Medical Interventions for PLTW. I am a 2 time teacher of the year finalist and have been part of a nationally recognized group of teachers at my school.
I have worked with students in the classroom for more than 15 years and have tutored students in various programs and with Home and Hospital Services for the past 10 years. I use various different strategies to meet students at their level while teaching high level biology concepts. I use videos, demos, drawings, practice sheets, diagrams, etc., to make sure students understand the content we cover in sessions. I have had success with students from all different backgrounds and can make an impact on student learning
