Hi, I'm Ian! I am currently a PhD student at Johns Hopkins University studying Applied Math and Statistics. Before hand, I graduated magna cum laude with Bachelor Degrees in Economics and Biochemistry, minoring in Math. I also have a M. Sc. in Pure Mathematics from Tufts University. Outside of school, I have interned at MIT's Lincoln Labs working on engineering applications to signal processing. I have been directly involved with running my undergraduate's Academic Mastery Program, which specialized in tutoring individuals in STEM subjects.

I take a lot of my inspiration from the Professors who have helped me get to where I am. Explicitly, these are the Professors who went out of their way to help diagnose my weak points, guide me towards resources to sharpen my skills, and who clarified any misconceptions I had over the material. All while maintaining a peer-to-peer persona, in which I felt comfortable not only expressing my concerns but felt proud of my accomplishments. I wish to reflect this hands-on experience, and will work the extra mile to make you feel as I felt when I was still learning the subjects.

Beyond scoring well within courses relating to these topics, these are the subjects which I spend my day-to-day time as a graduate student wrestling with and understanding. I have approached these topics from a computations perspective, and more rigorously from theoretical perspective.

I am excited to work with you and hopefully I will be able to make these topics more clear and lucid, as they are my passion in life.
