I also offer health and wellness consultations (including herbal, supplemental, nutritional and lifestyle recommendations) in addition to my yoga offerings. I am currently pursuing my MA in Acupuncture degree from MUIH, so I am also happy to offer my knowledge of holistic health in whatever way will serve. I completed my 200 hr Jivan Yoga Teacher Training at the Baltimore Yoga Village. It was a transformative, life-changing experience for me. This education was especially unique as we not only covered the anatomy of the body and how to teach yoga asana (poses), but we also delved deeply into the ancient wisdom texts of yoga, like the Bhagavad Gita and the Yoga Sutras by Patanjali. We even had an immersive mini course in Ayurveda, covering the basic principles to actually cooking with Ayurvedic herbs and foods. Since graduating from my program, I have taught yoga at several studios around the Baltimore area including Earth Pulse in Hamilton and Asana Roots in Station North. I have taught various levels and styles, including yin/restorative, gentle, beginner Hatha and Vinyasa flow for all levels. I have also taught to students of all ages, bodies and abilities, including students over 65, students with chronic pain/injury, students with anxiety and depression and students who are visually impaired.
