Hello, I am Edward. I graduated my first degree in the UK in drama and a few years later completed a masters in Education at Edinburgh University. I have had an extremely diverse career in teaching from schools in the UK, Texas and Maryland and I have also taught all the way from Kindergartern through to high school seniors. During my career my interests have become more focused culminating in a passion for high school mathematics. In particular, I have deep subject experience with high school Algebra I, Geometry, Algebra II, Pre-Calculus, Intro to Calculus and Statistics. I can help with both general skills and confidence as well as subject specific exam preparation.
After working with a diverse age range I am an expert at engaging students in developmentally appropriate practice. As an experienced Algebra II and Statistics teacher specialize in turning complex concepts into clear, manageable steps. In my additional role as an instructional coach I help math educators build coherent curricula based on data driven insights and lead a team to build alignments through middle and high school grades.
My approach is responsive and highly efficient, focusing on mastery-based learning to close gaps quickly. I provide the structure and personalized feedback necessary for students to take ownership of their progress and excel in advanced coursework.
