Bio

Hello!

I graduated in 2012 from Virginia Tech with two bachelor's degrees, one in Spanish and one in Classical Studies (Latin/Greek/Ancient Egypt, Roman, & Greek culture).

For the last nine years, I have been a Latin/Spanish teacher. I have also taught high school math courses, including Algebra 2, Precalculus, and Calculus.

Right now, I am also working towards my master's degree in Classics.

I have a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech in classical studies. I have studied a wide range of topics in the classics, including ancient history, art and architecture, and languages. In addition to my undergraduate degree, I am also currently enrolled in a master's program for classics.
Greek

Greek

Ancient Greek is a core part of any classical studies degree. It is primarily studied, like Latin, to translate religious and historical texts from their original language into English. I have over five years of experience translating ancient Greek at Virginia Tech and the University of Florida, covering a wide range of authors and dialects, including Homer, Strabo, Lucian, Plato, Thucydides, Plutarch, and New Testament authors.

I have a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech in classical studies. I have five years of teaching experience in Latin, covering all levels from introductory to Advanced Placement. In addition, my teaching experience covers from grades 6-12th and my tutoring experience spans from 6th-adult.

I have a bachelor's degree from Virginia Tech in Spanish. Upon graduation, my in-major GPA was a 3.56. During college, I volunteered as a Spanish tutor for the Spanish club and gave presentations to local elementary school kids in Spanish, so I have experience helping children & adults improve their Spanish skills.

Very knowledgeable and very patient

Talisha taught my daughter Latin read not only is she very knowledgeable and very patient. She was very friendly which put my daughter at ease… And I believe she learned more in this manner. I’m going back.
