About Ken

Bio

I am a professional writer living in Baltimore, and I have published in a variety of genres, including children's books, study guides, novels, books on spiritual pilgrimage, co-authoring books with others, ghostwriting books for others, etc. I have also studied screenwriting and written in that area, though none of those projects have sold as of yet.

Although I have had 20 years of formal education, I didn't have formal training as a writer. By the time I realized I wanted to write, I had a family with four kids and couldn't afford to go back to school. So I learned from everything. Music, movies, art, nature, literature, architecture---these became my mentors.

In the past, I have traveled throughout the country, offering weekend seminars on writing. Now that I am older---63---traveling is harder, and I don't do that so much anymore.

The way I teach is really fun. I use a variety of media to teach observation skills that are immediately transferable to writing.
