I really, really enjoyed being tutored in Spanish by Ms. Maria while I was home from college during my summer break! She is very attentive, personable, patient, and always making sure you are grasping what she's teaching. She listened and often asked for my input concerning the tutoring sessions and what I wanted to get out of our session, and then was willing to customize her lessons for me. My Spanish learning sessions with Maria have been amazing ! I studied with her for a bit more than 1 and a half year, once a week. She quickly understood what type of teaching works for me (I like very informal, not too much grammar etc.) and I am really pleased with the progress I made thanks to her. Because it works for me, we focused on having conversations on different topics depending on the days, and there was always great guidance from her to help me improve vocabulary, conjugation and so on, but in a very relaxed and fluid way. Starting from scratch, I am now able to have conversations with Spanish speakers 😀 Thank you Maria 🙂 You made me learn Spanish !

Knowledgeable and patient tutor
Maria is interested in what I am hoping to be able to do as a result of our lessons. She is skilled at creating conversations that require me to use the verbs and practice the correct tenses for the situations. It is very helpful!

Wonderful Tutor!
We had a wonderful experience with Maria. My daughter was struggling in Spanish II to understand grammar concepts that were not well taught previously. Maria adapted each lesson to fit my daughter's needs often with little notice. With Maria's guidance, my daughter's grade increased to a B+ and we couldn't be happier. We highly recommend Maria!

Ateaher who understands what I’m looking
I am an older married man whose wife’s work has been involved in Latin America. We have many close friends who are active Spanish speakers. My background is in the medical field and foreign languages don’t come easily to me. Our friends speak English when we’re together as a favor to me but I am uncomfortable with that situation and want to join in our discussions in Spanish. I do speak rudimentary Spanish but want to improve my grammatical ability. Maria is the first teacher who understands my goals and has come up with a program to help me meet them. We have just begun working together and I am optimistic about our ongoing relationship

Knowledgeable and friendly
My son has been studying Spanish with Maria for 4 months. I wanted him to be able to speak everyday conversations in Spanish. Maria is very knowledgeable, friendly, and works well with kids. My son always looks forward to her lessons and enjoys learning. She is an amazing teacher and motivates my son to work hard in his studies.
