Hi! I'm a 3x IVY LEAGUE graduate (Wharton MBA Penn MSE Mechanical engineering) and have tutored for over 20 years. I was also an executive director of the COMPUTER-BASED TESTING COMPANY that developed and delivered exams such as test preparation and licensing exams.

Most importantly, I think it's important for the student to feel comfortable with the tutor and that the tutor sets up a safe environment where the student can ask any question and feel at ease.

Hi! I'm a 3x IVY LEAGUE graduate (Wharton MBA Penn MSE Mechanical engineering) and have tutored for over 20 years. I was also an executive director of the COMPUTER-BASED TESTING COMPANY that developed and delivered exams such as test preparation and licensing exams.

Most importantly, I think it's important for the student to feel comfortable with the tutor and that the tutor sets up a safe environment where the student can ask any question and feel at ease.

My schedule can be flexible during weekdays and weekends. I have tutored for over twenty years in a variety of subjects; my strengths are in English, Math, most high school subjects, test preparation and the GRE and GED.

I earned a 640 (out of 800) on the GMAT and a 1330 (out of 1600) on my SAT. I have raised student scores by as much as 400 points.

I worked for 7 years at the company that delivers all computer-based tests so I have a good feel for standardized testing and computer-based testing techniques. I also have a great deal of experience in resume review, Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint and interview preparation.

My goal is to diagnose the problem quickly and customize an approach to help the student to see results as fast as possible!

I have over 15 years of experience in the business world working for small companies and Fortune 500 companies. I have a Wharton MBA, held a Vice President title twice, reported to heads of companies and managed people. There are a number of skills I gained that would be of most help to someone struggling in the business world or who wish to start a business career. I used Microsoft Excel, Word and PowerPoint on a daily basis. I have interviewed hundreds of people and served in product development, marketing, project management, general management and client management positions. Succeeding in business is mostly about gathering, analyzing and communicating information and about working with people at all levels. In addition, knowing when to take initiative and how to be perceived as a necessary employee are more important (in my opinion) than learning specific skills such as Accounting, though these may be required for your specific job. Working with clients, numbers and staying current on your industry are also critical in your success and I can help with techniques that suit your personality and experience.

Great Tutor

Amy has been my GRE tutor for two months now and she is great. I love her tutoring style and I have learned and improved my math and verbal skills so much with her. Amy is very patient and always willing to explain things many different ways until I understand. She is excellent about giving me homework and extra problems so I can understand the material better. She is very flexible and is always willing to work around my schedule. She is also VERY good about adapting her teaching to my learning style. Amy is a GREAT tutor and I would recommend her to anyone.
