I'm Kevin! I graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor's degree in Physics and Mathematics, then earned my teaching certificate for High School science. I have taught public high school for the past 16 years. Students have praised my class as fun and helpful when learning new concepts and while applying it to everyday-life through examples. I've developed lessons to assess student mastery while identifying real-world examples; composing written argument; graphing and interpreting graphs; and solving calculate- and derive-type word problems.
I use lesson plans that connect physics concepts to real-world examples that can be watched and discussed, then allow students time to master these concepts by applying them to different scenarios. I identify what you are succeeding at and struggling with while you master these ideas, then provide feedback so that you feel more confident about them. I have done this during flex hours and after school with my students daily in high school, and they both enjoyed it and found it helpful.
My goal is to help you master physics and feel confident about it. I am open to using resources that you are familiar with or suggestions you have from your class. I am easy to reach and provide fast responses, so feel free to contact me with any additional questions or to schedule a lesson!
