I hold a Ph.D. in Materials Science and Engineering from Johns Hopkins University, where my research focused on computational materials science, physics, applied mathematics, and scientific programming. Before that, I earned a B.S. in Applied Mathematics with minors in Physics and Computer Science, followed by an M.S. in Materials Science and Engineering. My academic background has given me extensive experience in mathematics, physics, engineering, programming (particularly Python), and scientific problem solving, and I enjoy helping students build both confidence and a deep understanding of these subjects.

I have several years of teaching and tutoring experience working with students of many different ages and backgrounds. I worked as a tutor at Mathnasium, where I provided one-on-one instruction to K–12 students in mathematics, adapting lessons to each student's learning style and pace. I also worked as a substitute teacher in classroom settings and served as a teaching assistant and instructor at Johns Hopkins University, where I taught undergraduate and graduate students in engineering and computational methods. In addition, I mentored undergraduate and graduate researchers, guiding them through programming, data analysis, and scientific research projects.

My teaching philosophy is to focus on understanding rather than memorization. I break difficult concepts into manageable steps, encourage students to ask questions, and tailor explanations to their individual learning styles. Whether you're preparing for an exam, working through homework, learning to program, or tackling advanced college-level math, physics, or engineering courses, my goal is to help you develop the skills and confidence to solve problems independently.
