ACT Tutoring
I graduated from Johns Hopkins University with Honors in Molecular and Cellular Biology. I scored a 35 on the ACT, placing in the 99th percentile, with section scores of 35 in English, 34 in Math, 36 in Reading, and 33 in Science. My strong academic background and high ACT performance give me both content mastery and a firsthand understanding of what it takes to succeed on the exam.
I’ve been tutoring since high school in both one-on-one and small group settings, primarily in math and science. In addition, I taught K–12 students in after-school classes ranging from 1 to 12 students per class. I used personalized instruction tailored to each student’s strengths, weaknesses, attention span, and learning style. I also volunteered as a tutor at a local elementary school after-school program. These experiences helped me develop the ability to explain difficult concepts clearly, adapt my teaching methods to different ages and learning needs, and build supportive learning environments that help students gain confidence and improve over time.
Medical School Application Help
As an incoming M1 at Rush Medical College, I recently completed the medical school application process successfully and understand how demanding and overwhelming it can feel. I interviewed at 7 medical schools, received 5 acceptances, and scored in the top quartile on Casper. I have extensive firsthand experience with each stage of the process and can help students with personal statements, AMCAS primary applications, secondary essays, and interview preparation.
My goal is not only to help students strengthen their written materials and interview skills, but also to help them approach the process strategically and with less stress. My approach is individualized and supportive. I work with students to identify their strengths, clarify their personal story, improve the quality and coherence of their application materials, and present themselves as authentically and effectively as possible.
