My educational background includes a Master of Education from Johns Hopkins University, Bachelor of Science in Botany from the University of Maine, Bachelor of Arts in Biology from San Francisco State University, and Doctor of Osteopathy from Des Moines University Medicine & Health Sciences. I also hold a 200-hour certificate in Teaching English as a Foreign Language from the International TEFL Academy.
When working with struggling students, my approach is to pinpoint any gaps in foundational skills, provide targeted instruction to close the gaps, and have fun in the process! Along the way, I strive to create confident learners and ignite their curiosity and love of learning.
