I am a USMLE tutor with a 265 on Step 2 CK and a 251 on Step 1, and I currently work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the Wilmer Eye Institute at Johns Hopkins. I graduated from Aga Khan University and am currently applying into Ophthalmology as an IMG. I also have over 24 months of clinical experience in the United States in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology.

My teaching focuses on how to approach questions when multiple answers seem correct. I help students identify key clues in the question stem, including patient age, sex, clinical context, and especially whether the patient is stable or unstable, since that often determines the correct next step. I also teach students to first determine what the question is actually asking, whether it is asking for the diagnosis, the next best step, the best initial test, or the gold standard or definitive management. I am particularly strong at differentiating between conditions that appear similar but have important exam level differences, and at helping students move beyond memorizing algorithms to actually applying them in practical test questions. My research background has also strengthened my ability to teach USMLE style research interpretation, ethics, and biostatistics.

A lot of students are uncomfortable truly tackling their weaknesses and often stay in their comfort zone. I work with students to directly address those weaker areas and build a more disciplined and structured approach. I believe meaningful score improvement comes from making small gains across multiple areas, including strengthening knowledge, refining how resources are used, improving pattern recognition, and consistently addressing weaknesses. My goal is to help students build confidence and develop a clear, repeatable way of thinking so they can make meaningful score improvements over time.

I scored 265 on USMLE Step 2 CK and 251 on Step 1 and currently work as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at Johns Hopkins. I have over 24 months of clinical experience in the United States in Internal Medicine and Ophthalmology. I specialize in helping students approach next best step questions, identify key clinical clues, and differentiate between similar conditions. My focus is on improving clinical reasoning, pattern recognition, and test taking strategy rather than memorization.
