Hi! I’m a percussionist and current student at the Peabody Institute, where I study music performance with a focus on percussion. My training includes classical percussion and music theory, and I’ve performed in solo recitals, chamber ensembles, and large ensembles. Through both my academic coursework and performance experience, I’ve developed a strong foundation in rhythm, technique, and musical interpretation. I have experience helping peers and younger students with music theory and percussion fundamentals in one-on-one settings.
In my lessons, I focus on breaking down concepts into clear, manageable steps so students can build confidence quickly. I work with beginners who are just starting out, as well as students preparing for auditions or school ensembles. For percussion students, I emphasize fundamentals like timing, stick control, and coordination, while also helping them develop musical expression. For music theory, I focus on making concepts practical and easy to understand, connecting them directly to the music students are playing. My goal is to create a supportive and encouraging learning environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, making mistakes, and ultimately becoming more independent and confident musicians.
