I’ve spent my career helping people find the right words and the confidence to use them. With a master’s degree in marketing communications and more than 20 years working in writing, messaging, and leadership roles, I bring a practical, real-world approach to tutoring writing, reading, and English comprehension.

Alongside my professional work, I spent more than 14 years tutoring and mentoring students and adult learners. This included working one-on-one with a multilingual adult learner who wanted to improve her spoken and written English to secure a job in a science lab. A couple of months later, she did! I mentored middle and high school students through academic and transition programs like Higher Achievement and Spark the Journey, focusing on communication skills, confidence-building, and helping students express their ideas clearly. Perhaps my passion for helping others with their writing stemmed from working as a student tutor in my own high school's writing center.

My tutoring style is patient, encouraging, and practical. I focus on helping learners find the fun in writing and feel comfortable using language in real situations, whether that’s improving reading comprehension, strengthening writing skills, preparing for academic work, or building confidence in spoken English. I’m especially effective with ESL learners and students who want a supportive space to practice, ask questions, and grow at their own pace. It's easy for me because I've traveled widely, built a career writing for multigenerational, multicultural audiences, and have a global network of friends and colleagues.

I work with teens, college students, and adults, and I tailor sessions to each learner’s goals and learning style. For each session, my objective is simple: help you think confidently, communicate clearly, get organized, and leave feeling more capable than when you started.
