I am currently in my 36th year of teaching in elementary education, bringing extensive classroom experience and a strong commitment to effective instruction and professional growth. I graduated from Elizabethtown College in 1990 and earned my master’s degree from Towson University in 1995. Over the course of my career, I have worked with diverse learners and have consistently focused on creating engaging, supportive, and developmentally appropriate learning environments that promote academic success and a lifelong love of learning.
In my current role, I teach literacy classes, supervise student teachers, and prepare candidates for the Praxis II exams in Elementary Education, including the 5205 Teaching Reading assessment. I emphasize research-based literacy practices, assessment-driven instruction, and reflective teaching. Through mentoring and exam preparation, I support future educators in developing strong content knowledge, effective instructional strategies, and the confidence needed to succeed both in the classroom and on certification exams.
