Hello! My name is Lene, and I am a dedicated science educator with strong expertise in Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, Chemistry, and Forensic Science. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Forensic Chemistry and have several years of experience teaching and tutoring students from middle school through college. I currently teach high school Biology, Anatomy & Physiology, and Forensic Science, where I support students in grades 9–12 across a wide range of skill levels. In addition to classroom instruction, I previously worked as a university STEM tutor and peer mentor, helping learners strengthen their understanding of biology, chemistry, algebra, and essential study skills. These experiences have allowed me to work with students ages 10 through adult learners in both 1:1 and small-group settings.
My tutoring style is patient, structured, and highly personalized. I focus on breaking down complex concepts with step-by-step explanations, visuals, and real-world examples so that students can build genuine understanding, not just memorize information. I start each tutoring relationship by identifying the student’s strengths, challenges, and goals, then create a plan that includes targeted practice, guided problem-solving, and strategies to help them retain what they learn. I specialize in supporting students who feel overwhelmed, need clearer explanations, or want to improve their confidence in science. I also assist with lab reports, homework, AP-level content, test preparation, and scientific writing.

Above all, my goal is to help every student feel capable, confident, and successful. I create a supportive, judgment-free learning environment where questions are always welcome and progress is always possible.
