Hello! My name is Sadia, and I am an architect with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong passion for design, research, and sustainability. Wonderful Tutor!
I am pursuing my Masters of Architecture at UPenn and sought holistic tutoring to achieve my academic goals while also managing other personal priorities. Being in such a grueling program as an M. Arch., it meant finding a tutor who really understands the reality of architecture school and who could strike a balance of pushing me to grow while also being empathetic with my struggles. Sadia is a wonderful tutor who does exactly that. She is truly invested in my well-being, taking the time to learn about me and offer recommendations catered to my lifestyle and way of working. We work together primarily on workflows, time management, and time-saving strategies, as well as architecture and studio-specific instruction. I always leave our sessions feeling energized and focused, with a plan for the best way to approach my assignments and deadlines. One of my favorite examples of her teaching is when I had a particularly busy weekend and wanted to make sure I would be able to get all my work done. She reassured me that it would be possible to achieve my desired work-life balance, and we strategized a schedule outlining concrete tasks and how much time to budget. We included everything from executing a specific drawing technique to when to get ready for a party. This helped me tremendously to cultivate a peace of mind going into my weekend and efficiently tackle all my responsibilities. In an environment where it is really easy to feel overwhelmed and alone, Sadia was the shining light that kept me sane. She made me feel supported, and even helped with one-off requests like interview prep for a summer internship. Because of her, I saw a huge jump in the quality of my work from my first to second semester - and I also got that summer internship in New York!

Sadia Review
Sadia helped me understand long readings better and helped break down complex events. She helped give a lot of context for the readings, so I know what events led to these events. That was very helpful, and I liked how she did such things. She helped me understand the importance of events and how architecture ties into it. Along with this, she showed me many examples of buildings in the world of architecture and how they relate to everything in the readings.
