Hello! My name is Sadia, and I am an architect with a Master’s degree in Sustainable Environmental Design from the Architectural Association School of Architecture in London. My academic journey has been shaped by a strong passion for design, research, and sustainability. I am proficient in a range of design software, including AutoCAD, Rhino, and the Adobe Suite, and I enjoy helping students at different stages of their learning develop both technical and creative skills.

Over the past several years, I have mentored architecture students in one-on-one settings, guiding them through portfolio development, design thinking, and research writing. During my undergraduate studies, I also served as a student mentor for two years, supporting peers with architecture and design projects while helping them strengthen their visual and written presentation skills. When working with writing assignments, I focus on structure, clarity, and voice, helping students communicate ideas effectively in essays, portfolios, and presentations.

My tutoring approach is highly personalized and encouraging. I aim to understand each student’s strengths, challenges, and creative goals, and then tailor my feedback to support their growth and independence. Whether we are reviewing a design project, refining a research paper, or developing a portfolio, my sessions emphasize thoughtful critique, clear communication, and practical strategies that help students build confidence while improving their work.

Approved Subjects

Adobe Photoshop

Adobe Photoshop

I specialize in teaching Adobe Photoshop for architectural rendering, visualization, and presentation graphics. I help architecture and design students enhance their renders by adding textures, lighting, people, vegetation, and atmosphere to create professional-quality visuals. I also help with color correction, composition and layouts and cleaning up graphics for portfolios and final presentations. I provide clear, step-by-step guidance so students can produce polished visuals for studio reviews and professional portfolios.
Architecture

Architecture

I am an architect; recently having graduated with an Msc. from the Architectural Association School of Architecture. I specialise in climate, environment and ecologically sensitive design and have experience in 2D and 3D design, rendering and modeling. I have experience with software like Autocad, Sketchup, Rhino, Grasshopper, Photoshop (among others), and various climate and environment modeling tools that can help contextualise your design.
Art History

Art History

I have strong academic and practical experience in art and architectural history through my architectural training and graduate studies. My approach focuses heavily on historical movements, critical theory, and the cultural context of architecture and art. I help students understand historical styles, analyze visual and spatial works, and develop clear, well-structured essays and research assignments. My teaching approach connects historical knowledge with design thinking, making complex ideas engaging and easier to understand.
Debate

Debate

I have 5 years of debate experience on local and national scales, being awarded the Best Diplomacy, Outstanding diplomacy and Honourable mentions in 8/8 competitions I was part of. I was selected as chair and adjudicator for many Model UN conferences and parliamentary style debates and was selected to be part of one of the Harvard MUN Boston delegations from Pakistan. Although I was unable to attend, I used this passion to coach juniors in my high school who since then have become world class public speakers themselves
Personal Statements

Personal Statements

Using narrative based writing I was able to write personal statements that granted me acceptances into 2/2 of the highly competitive postgraduate programmes I applied to: the Architectural Association School of Architecture and The Bartlett UCL. This is a skill I have used to help other aspirants across various other disciplines such as engineering and medicine too to convert their experiences into gripping narratives for personal statements and has had successful outcomes. In my own personal academic work, I have typically scored distinctions across undergraduate and postgraduate research papers and thesis.
Proofreading

Proofreading

I specialize in proofreading academic and creative writing, including essays, research papers, and dissertations. I consistently received top grades in art and architecture history and research papers and dissertations, giving me strong expertise in clarity, grammar, and structure. I help students polish their work to be professional, error-free, and impactful.
Thesis Writing

Thesis Writing

I have written 1 undergraduate final research paper (11000 words) and composed 1 design thesis and written 1 postgraduate dissertation (17000 words) and received an A and distinction in the first and 79% in the second, missing a distinction by 1%. In both I had carried out independent fieldwork, remote and in person research and simulations and translated it into academic writing between 2022-2025. I believe I can use this relatively fresh experience to tutor other students to achieve similar and perhaps even better results.

Knowledgeable, patient, and truly supportive tutor

Sadia has helped me tremendously throughout the development of my project. She has been incredibly patient and understanding, even during moments of confusion — both on my side and when the direction of the work was not always clear. What I really appreciate is her ability to stay positive and keep pushing forward, guiding me step by step until we reached a strong and well-developed outcome. Her support, insight, and dedication have made a huge difference in my progress. I am truly grateful to have met her and to have had her guidance during this process. I would highly recommend Sadia to anyone looking for a committed and thoughtful tutor.

Wonderful Tutor!

I am pursuing my Masters of Architecture at UPenn and sought holistic tutoring to achieve my academic goals while also managing other personal priorities. Being in such a grueling program as an M. Arch., it meant finding a tutor who really understands the reality of architecture school and who could strike a balance of pushing me to grow while also being empathetic with my struggles. Sadia is a wonderful tutor who does exactly that. She is truly invested in my well-being, taking the time to learn about me and offer recommendations catered to my lifestyle and way of working. We work together primarily on workflows, time management, and time-saving strategies, as well as architecture and studio-specific instruction. I always leave our sessions feeling energized and focused, with a plan for the best way to approach my assignments and deadlines. One of my favorite examples of her teaching is when I had a particularly busy weekend and wanted to make sure I would be able to get all my work done. She reassured me that it would be possible to achieve my desired work-life balance, and we strategized a schedule outlining concrete tasks and how much time to budget. We included everything from executing a specific drawing technique to when to get ready for a party. This helped me tremendously to cultivate a peace of mind going into my weekend and efficiently tackle all my responsibilities. In an environment where it is really easy to feel overwhelmed and alone, Sadia was the shining light that kept me sane. She made me feel supported, and even helped with one-off requests like interview prep for a summer internship. Because of her, I saw a huge jump in the quality of my work from my first to second semester - and I also got that summer internship in New York!

Sadia Review

Sadia helped me understand long readings better and helped break down complex events. She helped give a lot of context for the readings, so I know what events led to these events. That was very helpful, and I liked how she did such things. She helped me understand the importance of events and how architecture ties into it. Along with this, she showed me many examples of buildings in the world of architecture and how they relate to everything in the readings.
