Hi! My name is Radia, and I use they/she pronouns. I’ve been teaching in Baltimore City Public Schools since 2021. I hold a Masters of Arts in Teaching (MAT) and am a certified teacher in Maryland. My undergraduate degrees are in Mathematics and Global Studies, with a minor in Computer Science and a certificate in Spanish. I’m passionate about making math approachable and showing students how it connects to real-life situations. My mission is not only to alleviate math anxiety but to help students see the subject from different perspectives, making it more accessible and less intimidating.
I’ve taught both middle and high school students in various settings, including small groups, one-on-one tutoring, and whole group instruction. I believe every student learns differently, so I tailor my lessons to meet their unique needs. Whether it's reinforcing foundational concepts or diving into more advanced topics, I make sure to approach each lesson with patience and flexibility to ensure understanding and build confidence.
