Hi there! I’m Walker, and I’m a PhD trained social scientist with an interdisciplinary background spanning political science, sociology, public policy, and AI ethics. I’ve also published academic papers in peer-reviewed AI and psychology journals.

A big part of my work right now is artificial intelligence. I think about how emerging technologies affect society, social connection, public policy, and mental health systems in the real world.

I’ve taught my own university courses at both the University of Florida and Towson University, working with undergraduate students in social science subjects. Most of my teaching has focused on helping students get comfortable with academic writing, critical reading, and research design, especially when the material feels dense or overwhelming at first. My approach is very conversational and structured around how you think and learn, not just what the syllabus says. I focus on helping students break down complicated readings and actually understand what they’re writing and how it relates to their everyday experience.

In tutoring sessions, I work with students on academic writing, research methods, and making sense of social science concepts across political science, sociology, public policy, and related fields. I also spend time with students interested in newer areas like AI ethics and technology policy, especially if you’re trying to connect big abstract ideas to real world issues. I work with both undergraduate and graduate students, and I adjust my approach depending on what you’re trying to accomplish.

Overall, my goal is to make academic work feel more manageable and less intimidating. I want students to leave sessions feeling clearer, more confident, and more capable of thinking through problems on their own and how they might relate to their everyday experience.

Project Management

Project Management

I hold a PMP certification with extensive experience managing complex research and organizational projects from inception to completion. I have led multidisciplinary teams, coordinated timelines, managed resources, assessed risks, and ensured deliverables were met on schedule and within scope. I also tutor students and professionals in project management principles, helping them master planning, execution, and communication strategies. My approach emphasizes both technical mastery and practical application, giving learners the skills and confidence to manage projects independently in academic, research, or professional contexts.
