Hello! I am a current undergraduate student at Johns Hopkins University, majoring in Applied Mathematics and Statistics on a pre-med track. My coursework has ranged from Differential Equations to Organic Chemistry to Molecular Biology, allowing me to approach tutoring with a broad academic background and the ability to explain challenging material in a clear and approachable way.
My tutoring experience began in high school, where I worked with peers one-on-one in advanced subjects such as AP Chemistry, AP Biology, and AP Calculus. In these sessions, I focused not only on reviewing content but also on developing study strategies, problem-solving methods, and test-taking approaches that could be applied across subjects. Since then, I have expanded my teaching experience through volunteering as a Youth Library Tutorial tutor, where I support younger students in building their reading, writing, and critical thinking skills. This mix of experiences has allowed me to work with a wide range of ages and learning levels, from elementary school through advanced high school coursework.
Through these roles, I have developed a tutoring style that is supportive, adaptable, and student-centered. I aim to create a comfortable learning environment where students feel encouraged to ask questions and work through challenges at their own pace. Overall, I strive to help students not only master the material but also gain confidence in their ability to learn independently.
