Greetings,

I hope you’re doing well. My name is Marvelle J. Rose, and I am a doctoral student in Morgan State University's Industrial & Computational Mathematics Program. I hold a bachelor's degree in Mathematics from Miles College and a master's degree in Mathematics with a concentration in Applied Mathematics from Clark Atlanta University. With four years of teaching experience at both the high school and collegiate levels, I am passionate about fostering mathematical understanding and student success. My teaching journey began in college, where I tutored peers by breaking down complex concepts, providing guided practice, and adapting my approach to meet individual learning needs. This commitment to student-centered instruction has remained central to my teaching philosophy.

After earning my master’s degree, I spent two years teaching Algebra, Geometry, and Algebraic Connections at the high school level, gaining valuable experience in adolescent education and instructional strategies. In 2023, I transitioned to higher education, teaching Calculus, Pre-Calculus, and Finite Mathematics at Clark Atlanta University, followed by College Algebra and Foundations of Mathematics at Atlanta Technical College. Through these experiences, I have worked with diverse student populations and utilized various Learning Management Systems, including CANVAS, Blackboard, EducoSoft, and ALEKS. My background in both secondary and postsecondary education has equipped me with the skills to create engaging and effective learning environments that empower students to succeed in mathematics and beyond.
