Hi! My name is Ethan M., and I am excited to offer my tutoring services. I am currently enrolled in a dual-degree MD/PhD program at the University of Maryland – Baltimore, where I am training to become a physician-scientist. I also hold a Master of Arts in Biotechnology and a Bachelor of Arts in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, both from Boston University. My academic journey has provided me with a robust understanding of the life sciences, biochemistry, test prep, and the admissions process. I also have a passion for English and Literature, and I minored in Classics at Boston University. I have a love for learning, and I am excited to help others excel in these areas!

In terms of experience, I have helped students prepare for the MCAT and the ACT, with a particular focus on Reading and Science. I scored in the 99th percentile (131) on the MCAT CARS section, so I know exactly how to tackle tough passages. During my time at Boston University, I worked as a professor's aide in Organic Chemistry, where I helped students find easy ways to understand complex structures and compounds. I have also mentored students in lab settings on 4 different occasions, so I know how to effectively explain scientific topics and techniques to individuals from different backgrounds. Finally, I was recently on the admissions committee at the University of Maryland School of Medicine, so I have a direct understanding of what top-tier medical schools look for in applicants.

Over the course of my time as a tutor and as an aid to teachers, I have worked to develop a teaching style that adapts to the needs of each student, using active learning techniques, visual aids, and interactive assessments.
