Hi! I’m Dani, a Spanish instructor from Chile with over seven years of experience helping students master Spanish. I tutor all levels of Spanish, from beginner to advanced. I work with high school and college students, travelers, retirees, and professionals who need Spanish for work—whether that’s in healthcare, business, education, or nonprofit settings. If you're preparing for a test (like AP Spanish, CLEP, DELE, or university placement exams), brushing up for a trip, building fluency for professional reasons, or just learning for fun, I’ll tailor our sessions to your needs and learning style.

I also help high school and college students with homework assignments, essays, presentations, and other academic projects—offering guidance to build confidence and improve results.

I am a native Spanish speaker from Chile with a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature from the University of Maryland, College Park. I have taught Spanish for over 6 years at U.S. universities, including Johns Hopkins, where I currently teach. My experience includes a wide range of courses—from beginner-level Spanish to advanced grammar, conversation, literature, and Spanish for specific purposes (e.g., the life sciences and the media).
