Hi! I’m Dani, a native Spanish speaker from Chile with a PhD in Spanish Language and Literature and over seven years of experience teaching and tutoring Spanish. I currently teach Spanish at Johns Hopkins University, where I work with students at different proficiency levels and help them strengthen their grammar, writing, and communication skills.

I tutor students from beginner to advanced levels, including high school and college students, travelers, retirees, and professionals who need Spanish for work in fields such as healthcare, business, education, and nonprofit organizations. I also help students prepare for exams such as AP Spanish, CLEP, DELE, and university placement tests.

In addition, I support high school and college students with homework assignments, essays, presentations, and other academic projects, helping them understand complex grammar concepts, improve their writing, and feel more confident using Spanish.

My lessons are tailored to each student’s goals. Depending on your needs, we can focus on conversation practice, grammar explanations, writing support, or exam preparation. I enjoy incorporating real-world materials—such as articles, videos, and dialogues—to make learning meaningful and engaging.
