Hi, My name is Aniqa. I'm majoring in Human Centered Computing, PhD from University of Maryland, Baltimore County; therefore, I love to teach coding or UX web design, and would like to encourage more women to learn web and app designing for STEM careers. I received several online certifications in coding through SheCodes. Previously, I majored in Health IT, MPS and completed dual BA in Biological Sciences and Psychology from my university. With this diverse academic background, I can teach a variety of courses. However, my love for learning languages is a hobby and I minored in Arabic language and culture which I teach on Wyzant as (Al-Fusha) or Modern Standard Arabic. I teach ESOL to adult and college students as well by assessing their level of fluency in English and helping them gain confidence and proficiency. I was an ESOL student at first, and since English is my second language, I understand how language learning could be challenging for adult learners as they are comparing second or third languages to their native one so at times, I would search and use words of their native language to translate for them, especially to those who were A1 levels. I would love to teach English online as I am fluent in it now and teach my Native language of Urdu online as well.
