I love the moment in teaching and tutoring when a student understands a concept they have been struggling with for a while. I am motivated to help students reach this moment and to help them get excited about learning! During my previous experiences as a tutor, I served as a point person for history/social studies help in a room full of tutors, while also tutoring my own small group of 1-3 students with all subjects.
I can be flexible to a student's needs and plan sessions accordingly; whether that be planning a short lesson or walking through a homework assignment together.
