I am a "highly-qualified" teacher with an advanced professional certificate working in the Baltimore City School District. I have taught students ranging in ages from 9 -18. I have taught high school, middle school, and elementary. My certification is in Social Studies. I am also experienced in US Government, Economics, History - both European and American. I am proficient in French, German, and Italian.

I have experience in several different countries and cultures. I believe in a flexible approach to learning. I also believe learning new things should be fun. A connection to the students real life is important to make the learning experience profound and meaningful. Whether the subject is math, science, language, or social studies the process of learning is similar: understanding the basics so as to capture the beauty and magic of the subject studied. All of my experience in becoming fluent in several foreign languages and being able to work and live successfully in foreign systems has led me to a philosophy which will help any student in any culture to succeed at whatever they undertake to do.
