Hello! My name is Brian C, and I am a dedicated educator and systems engineer with a passion for teaching and empowering students to achieve their goals. Over the past 20 years, I’ve developed a diverse teaching background spanning mathematics, physics, systems engineering, and philosophy. My academic foundation includes advanced degrees: an M.S. in Systems Engineering and an M.S. in Space Systems Operations from the Naval Postgraduate School, as well as a B.S. in Information Systems from Drexel University. I’ve also completed all but the defense for my Ph.D. in Systems Engineering. Additionally, I hold certifications as a Project Management Professional (PMP), Lean Six Sigma Black Belt, and a Graduate Certificate in Project Management.
As a former Naval Officer and educator, I’ve had the privilege of teaching students at various levels. For over eight years, I instructed Navy officer candidates at the United States Naval Academy, focusing on advanced cyber operations, systems engineering, and information systems. I’ve also served as an adjunct professor at Anne Arundel Community College, Embry Riddle Aeronautical University, and Hawaii Pacific University, where I taught courses in physics and calculus. Beyond traditional classrooms, I’ve worked one-on-one with students of all ages, providing personalized tutoring to build confidence and mastery in STEM subjects.
My teaching approach emphasizes engaging, personalized learning tailored to each student’s needs. I integrate real-world applications to make concepts relatable while encouraging critical thinking and self-reliance. I work with middle school, high school, college, and adult learners, specializing in STEM subjects, SAT/ACT prep, and advanced technical topics such as systems engineering and project management. My goal is to make learning an exciting, rewarding journey that empowers students to achieve their academic and personal ambitions. Together, we can unlock your potential and create a path to success.
