My desire to assist students to overcome potential educational issues began when I taught for the United States Army Military Intelligence Center of Excellence. I found potential in many of my students they were unable to observe in themselves. Through connecting with their strengths, developing their ability to communicate their issues, and overcoming each weakness, we were able to develop exceptional students. I spent over 12 years in the military, and over 10 years as a leader of exceptional men and women. My students and soldiers did not always start out performing exceptionally, but through development we were able to bring out and maximize their potential.
Through much of my education I was able to develop skills in myself that are easily transferable to others. Having mentored my military students and co-workers, I have developed a unique method to impart these skills, specifically, developing writing skills, interpersonal communication development, and knowledge retention. I have pursued my lifelong interests in education and continue to develop and hone my skills, while shoring up any and all weaknesses. I look forward to working with you, and together enhancing your strengths while shoring up potential current weaknesses and preparing you for the next educational leap before you.
My love for history began as a youth and spurred my personal exploration into these wonderful years of human history. This exploration not only included taking as many history classes as I could fit into my schedule, but reading any historical perspectives that would shed light on topics I felt ready to explore. My access to history did not end with reading and led to my exploring the physical history of Europe, the Middle East, and here in the United States. My personal blend of hands on and didactic access to historically significant locations and events has increased my ability to communicate the excitement history text books ignore.
