Hi, I love enabling students to achieve their potential! I have a bachelor's degree in physics with a mathematics minor and a master's degree in Computational Science and Engineering from Georgia Tech. My graduate program was joint with the department of Chemistry and Biochemistry in which I took classes and was a lecture TA for general chemistry for both majors and non-majors for five semesters. I have two years tutoring experience and love to teach all ages, as well as all levels, from K through college!
I specialize in physics, math, chemistry, and computational/computer science. In addition to my education, I have research experience in computational analytical chemistry, material science with metal-alloys, and more. These experiences allow me to bring a real-world, application based perspective to my tutoring.
Although I am new to Wyzant, I have tutored on another platform, and I look forward to helping students pass their classes and master an understanding of the course material.
My approach to teaching is as follows
1. I will guide you to the correct answer so you can develop your own strengths in problem solving and understanding the course material.
2. If material feels too tough or confusing, I will break it down into smaller, more manageable steps and give you many different angles to view the problem and solution until we find a method and perspective that works for you!
I have been commended for being a patient and resourceful tutor. I am willing to go at the pace that the student feels most comfortable and adjust my teaching style appropriately. I look forward to being you or your student’s next tutor!
