Hi! I’m a second-year student at St. John’s College specializing in philosophy, writing, and critical analysis. I love exploring the questions in life that provoke us to look deeper into who and what we are, and aside from the reading and writing of my institution, I also enjoy music and art! I’m a trained musician of 10 years, and I have experience in vocal performance, musical theater, and trumpet. Additionally, I have coached beginner vocal lessons at my college for a year. I also know basic piano and am knowledgeable in music theory, and love using music as a form of self-expression.
For me, teaching and tutoring is not merely about ensuring the student obtains the information at hand. It is about connection and communication, and my personal goal is to empower each student to continue their education with the tools that they each have within themselves that I work to nurture and develop through thorough review and provocative questioning. Learning is an opportunity to journey deeper into the self and create the mind connections that will last, and I am committed to each and every student with that goal in mind. My personal belief is that every student has always possessed the ability to succeed, and it is the responsibility of the teacher to nourish that ability in order for the student to truly bloom.
