Hi! My name is Jordyne, and I’m a passionate tutor who believes learning should be both enriching and enjoyable. I graduated from Pace University in 2024 with a degree in Directing for Stage and Film, along with minors in Peace & Justice Studies and Political Science. My experiences range from an internship at the United Nations as a student intern and disarmament advocate to working on Off-Broadway productions, where I gained hands-on theater experience. I now continue directing theater productions post-graduation. My dedication to education and empowerment began early—I founded my high school’s EMPOWER Her group to support women of all backgrounds and also established and led the school’s DEI (Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion) board.

I tutor English, History, and Literature, as well as coach students in acting and auditions. My teaching journey started in high school as a peer mentor for students ages 8-10 and continued through college, where I tutored grades 4-8. I now also work with high school students. Additionally, I teach theater to students ages 6-18, helping them build confidence as they prepare for performances. My experience spans online and in-person settings, allowing me to tailor lessons to each student’s learning style.

I believe education is about more than just academics—it’s about building confidence, curiosity, and a love for learning. I create engaging, interactive lessons that use real-world examples to help students connect with the material. Most importantly, I foster a warm and supportive space where they feel comfortable making mistakes, taking risks, and growing from them. One of my proudest moments was helping a group of students, some not yet reading independently, memorize and perform a show in just two weeks. Seeing my students gain confidence and thrive is what inspires me every day. I look forward to working with you and helping you reach your full potential!
