Bio

Hi, I am Wendy! I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Master’s in Education. I always admired my teachers in primary school, so I felt destined to serve others through teaching.
I did not start my professional career in education. I decided I would first try the military. After serving a total of 12 years of active and reserve duty, I decided it was then time to pursue my dreams and become an educator. Hi, I am Wendy! I graduated from Old Dominion University with a Master’s in Education. I always admired my teachers in primary school, so I felt destined to serve others through teaching.
I did not start my professional career in education. I decided I would first try the military. After serving a total of 12 years of active and reserve duty, I decided it was then time to pursue my dreams and become an educator. In the process, I was able to work with and learn from toddlers to adults.
I ended my public-school educational career as a Principal (head of school). I decided that I wanted to shift my talents and skills to impact a multitude of learners from various backgrounds, not just a select few. I also wanted to tap into and utilize more technology and my additional skill sets to enhance the learning of others.
I decided to become I am a Personal/Professional Development Life Coach. This transition was still in line with my calling to serve others at a high level and to educate in a different format and setting.
Currently, I work as a life coach, tutor, and educational consultant. I have over 20+ years of education experience which includes, coaching, consulting, mentoring, training, and tutoring.
One of my greatest pleasures is working with my students in China. As a tutor, it has added a vastly different spin (all positive) on my practice and how I support my students.

My daughter word bank has grown so much! Now reading together at night she’s willingly reading full books to me. The school year is over for us and what a difference Ms. Wendy gas made! My daughter is being removed from her IEP after not even a whole school year! I am so impressed with how patient Ms. Wendy has been with Adriana this year. She is not always excited to learn but Ms. Wendy is patient and gently worked Adriana through her bad moments. Looking forward to continuing this summer!
