Hello and welcome to your math and physics solution! I hold a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Physics and I'm in the final stages of completing my PhD in Health Physics. I currently teach Physics 1 and 2 at Becker College and have recently taught traditional and studio-format physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. I have have helped students to learn math and physics in a variety of settings including one-on-one, group, traditional lecture, laboratory experiments, and online whiteboarding.

I have tutored in high school but my college teaching career began during my freshman year when I took Ordinary Differential Equations. I thoroughly appreciated the tools I was learning and was happy to help friends and students near me in class. Taking notice of the rise in grades of students around me, the professor hired me the next term to host mid-sized course conferences where problems were practiced and discussed. I continued this through my senior year and upon entry into WPI's physics graduate program I was awarding a teaching assistantship. During this time I primarily taught laboratory exercises, but found students were constantly coming across roadblocks of language and ambiguity. I used this opportunity to organize the graduate students to clarify and modernize the department's laboratory curriculum.

I'm also a firm believer in lifelong learning and hope to inspire the same sentiment. I'm often thoroughly engaged in the frontiers of physics, biophysics, and nuclear physics research even in my down time. I like to learn about free and open-source software and programming, and promote Linux-based alternatives anywhere I can. In my research I investigate particles and ionizing radiation in the environment using the very same principles of physics that I teach. I plan on continuing this research in my career and intend to find a postdoctoral or professorship position to remain in academia. I believe students should have a foundation in math and physics to enrich their problem-solving and decision-making, and would love to assist you with your learning any way I can. Please feel free to reach out with any questions or to schedule a lesson today!

I taught conferences of 20-30 students for calculus and differential equations quarterly as a work-study my first four years at Worcester Polytechnic Institute. During this time I also tutored mathematics privately and through the Academic Resource Center. Since then I have been actively engaged in mathematical physics and to this day continue to solve differential equations involved in my research.
Physics,

Physics

I'm currently working towards my third degree in physics and am constantly surrounded by opportunities to practice and apply physics. My research involves modeling, deriving, experimenting, analyzing, and communicating physics with a variety of academic and professional audiences. I am also an adjunct faculty of physics at Worcester Polytechnic Institute and Becker College and have taught multiple levels of physics with and without calculus.
