I began my career working with children as a childcare provider. Over the years I have worked as a Religious Education Instructor, a Camp Counselor, a Tutor, an AVID Tutor, a nanny, and a teacher. Within these situations I have worked with all ages and a variety of disabilities.
My undergraduate degree is from Lesley University where I studied English and Special Education. During my time there I completed placements in the Brookline Public Schools and worked in the Cambridge Public Schools. I am level one certified in the Wilson Reading System and group trained. I am also trained in the Lindamood Bell LIPS program. In addition, I use TouchMath and Framing Your Thoughts.
I work with all ages. Through a combination of pull-out and inclusion, I have taught Reading, Math, Social Studies and Science. In addition to specialized instruction, I also help students access the curriculum, despite their struggles.
