Hi, I’m Will! I graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics and a minor in Finance. I know what it’s like for math to feel hard and confusing at certain points; it’s an uncomfortable feeling. When I tutor, my main goal is to make others feel more comfortable and confident with what is in front of them.
I was a peer tutor for three years throughout college. I mainly tutored in a one-on-one setting in intro statistics and computer science courses. I also have done private one-on-one math tutoring for middle schoolers. My tutoring approach revolves around understanding where the student is coming from and what questions they have. From there, I try to guide them in the right direction with clear and helpful information/questions/resources, without specifically telling them what the right solution is. I care less about the answer the student get and more about them understanding the reasoning of what they are doing so they can repeat it on their own. I strive to always be a kind, patient, and helpful presence for students I am working with.
