My teaching experience comes from TRIO Upward Bound at UMass Boston, where I taught math and English to students ages 12 to 14 for two months, and Jumpstart Corps, where I worked with 5 to 6 year olds on reading and activities for six months. Both experiences shaped how I explain things: breaking ideas down simply and checking in often to make sure they're actually landing.
Portuguese is my native language, so I have full fluency in conversation, grammar, reading, and writing, along with a strong sense of natural pronunciation and phrasing that's hard to get from textbooks alone.
