Neuroscience

As a Physiologist turned Neuroscientist, I bring a big picture approach to teaching and learning about the nervous system, from development through structure and function to pathology. Currently, I am a senior neuroscience researcher with extensive expertise in neurodegenerative disease mechanisms, particularly amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS). I integrate molecular neurobiology, protein biochemistry, and animal models to investigate how post-translational modifications contribute to axonal dysfunction and myelin pathology.
