Nicole’s admiration of mathematics and how she sees it as a metaphor for life drove her to receive a bachelor's degree in mathematics from the University of Massachusetts Lowell. Nicole's path allowed her to pick a minor to accompany her mathematics degree; she chose to follow her love of teaching and joined UTeach. This allowed her to not only hone her craft, but obtain her official Massachusetts teaching license. Nicole specializes in creating a safe learning environment that curates engagement to each individual learner.
During her first year, she really developed an appreciation for Probability and Statistics. This new appreciation never dimmed her love for algebra as it was the first subjects (1 and 2) that she ever taught/ tutored! Outside of teaching, Nicole loves singing (particularly in her acapella group), hiking on scenic nature trails, and sushi! She does her best to make math fun and accessible to all as she believes that math is like an adventure, all we have to do is begin!
