Hello! I want to bring students to the next level. I am life a lifelong student. I would be willing to work with someone of any level, whether they want help with a math problem or a 36 ACT English scale.
As for my academic Odyssey, I started at Roxbury Latin School, a prep school in Boston, I took Honors Latin, Honors French, AP Calculus BC, Honors Trigonometry and Geometry, Honors Physics and Honors Biology.
I received a 2350 SAT Score, and scored 5's in AP BC Calculus, AP Chemistry, AP English, AP Latin, AP French.
I then went on to Columbia and furthered my studies there in Math, Latin, and History, Science, and Writing. I have also taught 2 years in Varsity Tutors helping students achieve their goals in SAT or keep up in middle school and high school subject.
My math subjects cover Middle School Math, Algebra 1 and 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Statistics, Calculus I. My Latin covers everything up to AP Latin from Caesar's Gallic Wars to Virgil's Aeneid translation and analysis. My French covers literature from The Little Prince to plays written by to Corneille and Rostand, to philosophy written by Sartre. My history covers US and World History.
I aim to motivate my students to achieve their goals whether it be keeping up with the syllabus, writing an essay or preparing for a test. More than that, we will keep sessions fun and entertaining(excuse the Dad jokes). Learning should be fun and inspire passions. Any dedication that I have accrued toward mastering a subject, I will pass on to my students.
As a side note, I am looking for my first student. Willing to tutor in person and online for $55/hr. Thanks for reading
