I am looking to do some tutoring in addition to my current teaching position to help students who have a hard time reading and doing simple math.
Professionally, I am a certified teacher in special education and have taught at both the private and public level. I am certified Level 1 teacher Wilson Reading System and have used it for over 20 years with success at all reading levels. I also reteach basic math for students who have gaps in their math skills.
I having been teaching students with reading difficulties for nearly 25 years and I am certified in the Wilson Reading System.
I am trained in the Orton-Gillingham method of teaching reading to those students who have trouble with phonics and are dyslexia.
I look forward to helping more students become better readers because everything we do involves reading and reading also opens up our worlds to so many new adventures.
