Hello! My name is Adhithri, and I graduated from Brandeis University with a B.S. in Neuroscience and Biology with a minor in Health, Science, Society, and Policy. I have taken three years of biology and chemistry, so I have a good understanding of the concepts taught in high school chemistry and biology. I worked closely with my biology and chemistry teachers over the years and have picked up the best strategies to develop a solid understanding of these subjects. I know how hard learning these concepts for the first time can be, which is why I have developed fun, informative ways to teach these concepts to students in a more personalized and in-depth way. I am also willing to adjust my teaching methods to better suit my students.
I have teaching experience from a young age as I worked as a classroom assistant at Kumon in my sophomore year of high school where I taught math and reading concepts to students. I taught students across varying ages so I learned to adjust my teaching methods for each student. Every student has their own way of learning so there are certain teaching methods that help the student understand the content more easily and as a tutor I will work towards finding each student's method of learning to better teach them difficult concepts.
Biology and chemistry have always been my strongest subjects both in high school and currently in college. I have taken 2 years of high school biology including honors and AP biology and 1 year of biology in college. I have also taken 2 years of high school chemistry including honors and AP chemistry and 1 year of chemistry in college. I helped tutor my peers in these subjects in a way that made it easier for them to easily grasp the content. Over the years, I have learned the best tips, study methods, and strategies that helped me succeed in these courses that I will teach your student so that they can not only succeed in these classes but also grow to love these subjects.
