Hi, I’m Jackson! I have a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Genomics. When I was younger, I never thought science was “my thing.” I was always more artsy and into reading (or recess). Hi, I’m Jackson! I have a Master’s degree in Genetic Counseling and a Bachelor’s degree in Genetics and Genomics. When I was younger, I never thought science was “my thing.” I was always more artsy and into reading (or recess). But once I had the chance to explore science in a more concrete way - with hands-on activities and everyday examples - I realized science wasn’t the problem. It was just how it was being taught, and the typical classroom setting.
Since middle school, I have been tutoring peers and young learners (especially K–8th grade) in a variety of subjects - from genetics, chemistry, and life science to essay writing and basic computer science - always tailoring sessions to fit each student’s unique learning style and needs. My goal is to ease the stress often associated with academics and grades, focusing instead on building deep understanding that students can apply confidently in their coursework.
I’ve tutored in both group and one-on-one settings and particularly enjoy virtual tutoring because it lets me incorporate visual aids and animated examples that bring concepts to life beyond textbooks and abstract explanations.
In addition to younger students, I am highly experienced and comfortable tutoring college students and adult learners. I understand the distinct challenges faced by higher education students - from complex scientific material to balancing busy schedules - and I’m skilled at breaking down advanced topics into clear, manageable pieces. Whether you’re navigating genetics, biology, or related sciences, I’m here to support your learning goals with patience and expertise.
I always prioritize my students’ needs and welcome feedback and suggestions. Please reach out - I’ll get back to you shortly to answer questions, offer more information, or just connect!
