I am currently attending Gordon College in Wenham, MA, and I plan to graduate with an honors bachelor's degree in physics. Due to this, my professor has encouraged me to TA for classes I have taken. I am currently attending Gordon College in Wenham, MA, and I plan to graduate with an honors bachelor's degree in physics. Due to this, my professor has encouraged me to TA for classes I have taken. Meaning I am used to teaching new learners the material I have recently learned and studied. This includes undergraduate classes such as Intro to Physics, Math Methods for Physics, Mechanics, Electronics, Modern Physics, and Intro to Engineering. I also have TA intro labs for nonphysics/engineering majors meaning I can effectively communicate topics to people outside my major. This year and as a part of my research I have manufactured a lab to teach in the Mechanics lab to help students learn damped waves. In addition to physics and engineering topics, I have studied and taught students many math topics such as calculus, linear algebra, and differential equations. I hope this communicates I have a firm understanding of math and physics and I can tutor anyone with questions in these topics.
In terms of things I look for in students, I am ok with tutoring anyone who has taken a class I have taken previously. I am comfortable with tutoring anyone at any age. All I ask is that the student is open and willing to learn and engage in the learning environment I produce.
