Applied Math M.S. Tutoring Calculus and Statistics

I'm Thor! I recently completed my Master's degree in Applied Mathematics and have a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics and Statistics & Data Science, with a Minor in Computer Science. I am well versed in Calculus, Linear Algebra, Differential Equations, Probability and Statistics. I have first hand experience with the AP Calc and Stats exams, having passed both in highschool. I am excited to help any students with these topics!

In the past I have tutored a student in an accelerated section of Calculus 3. By meeting twice a week for two hour long sessions I was able to help him to not only pass, but to earn an A. My goals in these sessions were to make sure that the student could explain the key concepts we had discussed before I left, and to help him build confidence through a combination of review lectures and personally supplied practice problems. I also have experience in one-on-one tutoring for College Pre-Calculus, where I helped a student to build confidence and ultimately earn an A.

At some point everyone has struggled with math, whether by way of a one of prerequisite College Pre-Calc class, or all the way in Graduate Analysis. My goal as a tutor is to let students know that they aren't alone in these struggles and to help them build the confidence they need to reach their academic goals.
